Morning Prayer. The beginning of the 113th Season of the Choirs of Grace Church in New York. The Choir of Men and Boys and The Girls’ Choir.

4 p.m.
The Sunday Afternoon Organ Meditation Series begins.Programs are offered each Sunday between September and May lasting forty-five minutes. The Church will be open all afternoon. Please check ahead, programs are subject to the celebration of special liturgies and other observances (212.254.2000 ext. 6). No ticket required.

Tuesday September 11
“Bach at Noon” resumes weekday programs. This series features the organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach offered Tuesday through Friday from 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. in the Church.

5:30 p.m.
Choral Evensong offered by the Junior Choristers of the Grace Church Choirs. This choral office will be offered each Tuesday that Grace Church School is in session. To confirm the schedule please call 212.254.2000/6.

9 p.m.
Compline Service in remembrance of the victims of September 11th 2001, with prayers for Peace. This gentle evening office will be offered according to the old Sarum Rite in English. The Men of the Adult Choir.

Saturday September 15 at 4 p.m.

Welcome to the New Taylor and Boody Organ. Choral Evensong with viols. The works of Ayleward, Tallis, Gibbons and Purcell will be offered in the first of a series of programs celebrating the arrival of the new chamber organ built for Grace Church by Taylor and Boody Organ Builders, Staunton, Virginia. The Adult Choir.

Sunday October 14 at 4 p.m.
A Concert of Music featuring Baroque Oboe, Baroque Trumpet and Chamber Organ. Featured on this program will be the trio of Gonzalo Ruiz, John Thiessen and Patrick Allen. No ticket required.

The Annual Christmas Concert of the Choral Society and Orchestra of Grace Church under the direction of John Maclay. Music from W.A. Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor (KV 427), with seasonal favorites. Tickets are required and may be purchased from members of the Choral Society.
